Tj Agencies is located on Vaikom Road in Ettumanoor. It is a straightforward kind of place, mostly a warehouse where we store and distribute goods. We don't have a fancy storefront or a place for people to come and browse. It’s mostly about trucks coming in and going out all day long. The office part is just a small section partitioned off with some plywood, where we have a desk, a couple of chairs, and an old computer that takes forever to start up. There are only three of us working here. We spend most of our time loading boxes and checking lists. The walls are plain and there are no decorations, just a few calendars from previous years hanging up. Vaikom Road is quite busy, so there is always the sound of traffic in the background. When the rains come, the water sometimes pools near the entrance, and we have to put down wooden planks so we don't get our feet wet. We don't have any big mission statements or marketing plans. We just focus on getting the deliveries out on time and making sure our records are right. It’s honest, physical work that keeps us moving from early morning until the evening. We usually share a pot of tea around four o'clock before the final rush of the day. We aren't trying to be a huge corporation. We are just a small agency doing our part in Ettumanoor and keeping things simple for everyone involved.
