Rajant Trading

Thirunakkara Temple is right there, so we hear the bells quite a bit. Being in the Kulangara Building means we see a lot of people passing through. Swamy Electrical is close by, and they are good people. Our space at 63/78 is filled with various items we trade. It isn't a huge place, but we make it work. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk with the neighbors. Other days, everyone wants something at the exact same time. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us making sure everything is in its place. The building itself is old but sturdy. We’ve been here long enough that the postman doesn’t even look at the address anymore. Sometimes the rain gets heavy and we have to move stuff away from the front. It’s part of the job. We don’t do much advertising or anything like that. People just know where we are. Dealing with traders and customers takes up most of the morning. In the evening, the area around the temple gets crowded with folks coming for prayers. It’s a nice atmosphere to work in. We just focus on the trade and keeping things moving. Nothing fancy, just a regular trading business in a busy part of town. We keep the ledger books on the shelf and keep track of everything the old-fashioned way mostly. It works for us and the people we know.
