Our company, Puthookadans Textiles And Fabrics Private Limited, is located on Kudamaloor Road. We are in the Kumaranalloor area of Perumbaikadu, which is in Kottayam. The building name is Putthukkattu Kizhakkekalayil. It’s a mouthful to say if you’re not from around here. We’ve been part of the Kottayam textile scene for quite some time. The building is an old family property that we’ve used for the business. It has a lot of character and maybe a few leaks when the monsoon is heavy. We handle all sorts of fabrics here. The rooms are filled with rolls of cloth stacked up to the ceiling. It’s a bit of a maze inside. Most of us here are relatives or old friends. We don't have a formal dress code or anything like that. You’ll usually find us in simple clothes ready to move heavy bundles. The road outside can get quite muddy during the rains but that’s just life in Kerala. We don't use any fancy sales tactics or have a big sales team. People just know where to find us when they need fabric. We take pride in just doing the work well and being honest with our customers. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except for the sound of the scissors and the packing tape. We’re just a local family business keeping things going in 686016. We hope to stay here for many more years to come.
