Oxcam Study Abroad (Opc) Private Limited

Our office is at 483B/12 in the Naduvelaparampilarpookara area of Gandhi Nagar, Vaikom. It is a bit of a long name for a neighborhood, but it is home for us. Vaikom is a nice place to live and work, especially around Gandhi Nagar where it is mostly residential. We set up this office in a part of the building that used to be a storage room. We cleaned it up and put in some desks and a few chairs for when people stop by to ask about studying abroad. It is a very simple setup without any bells or whistles. We have a small window that looks out onto the street, so we can see the weather changing. Most of our work involves looking at universities and helping people with their forms. It involves a lot of reading and waiting for emails to come back. We don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, whoever is closest just picks it up. At Oxcam Study Abroad (Opc) Private Limited, we don't pretend to be a giant company. We are just a small team in Vaikom doing our best to help the local kids get to where they want to go. We usually close up early on Saturdays to spend time with our families. It’s a quiet life and the work is steady enough to keep us going.
