We've been here on Market Road for a long time now. Most people around Pala know where the post office is, and we're right by it. It’s a busy spot. We handle saniwares, which basically means toilets, sinks, and all those bathroom fittings you need when you're building or fixing a house. It gets a bit dusty in the shop sometimes with all the boxes coming in and out, but that’s just how it is. We try to keep things simple. If someone walks in looking for a specific tap or a pipe, we just go look in the back and see if it's there. Usually, it is. There’s no fancy showroom vibe here, just stacks of stuff and us trying to help out. My cousin helps out on weekends. People stop by after finishing their work at the post office or just while they are doing their daily shopping in the market. It’s a loud area with all the traffic. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to move the bigger ceramic pieces, so we have to wait it out. We don’t really do much advertising. Most folks just know us because we’ve sat in this same spot for years. It’s not a big corporate operation. We just open the shutters in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the regulars to come by. Dealing with plumbing parts isn't glamorous, but it keeps us busy. We know the local plumbers pretty well too.
