Marian Medical Centre

Marian Medical Centre is right here in Aruna Puram, just by the Pala post office area. It’s been here for a while now and most people in the neighborhood know where we are. Usually, the day starts early when the sun comes up and we get the front doors open. There is always a bit of dust to wipe off the chairs in the waiting room before the first few people show up. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular building with clean floors and a lot of history in these walls. We see people from all over this part of Pala coming in. Some days it is quiet and you can hear the birds outside, but other times it gets busy with folks waiting their turn. The staff mostly live nearby, so we know the local shortcuts and the weather patterns pretty well. We don’t have any big slogans or flashy signs. It is just a medical centre where things happen every day, one person at a time. Sometimes the fans overhead make a bit of noise, but they keep the air moving. We keep the files organized on the shelves and make sure the lights are working. It’s mostly about showing up and doing the work that needs to be done for the people who walk through that door. We’ve seen kids grow up and older folks come back year after year. It's just a part of the local life here in Aruna Puram.
