Kalyani Creations

Kalyani Creations is on the first floor of the Municipal Office Complex on Old Boat Jettyroad. It’s a bit of an old building, and the stairs are a little steep, so you have to be careful when you come up. Being near the jetty means it's always a bit damp in the air, especially during the monsoon. We’ve been in this complex for a long while now. It’s a busy place with people going in and out of the different offices all day. Our shop is just one room filled with our work. We don't have any big signs or flashing lights. Just a small board outside the door. We spend most of our time at our desks or talking to the people who drop by. Sometimes the office complex gets a bit noisy with all the government work going on, but we just close our door and focus on what we’re doing. We don’t have a fancy website or any marketing people. It’s just us. We make sure the things we produce are okay and then we send them out. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the traffic near the jetty, but that’s just life here. We’ve grown to like the rhythm of this place. The tea from the stall downstairs is pretty good, and that helps us get through the long afternoons. It’s a plain, simple business and we’re happy to be here.
