Jmj Modern Rice Mill Llp is down in Kottayam, specifically Arpookara West. We are in Building No. Xiv/82 at Moonnukandathil. Running a rice mill is noisy and dusty work, but it’s what we know. We spend our days processing grain and making sure it's ready for people to cook. It is a very practical business. We have the machinery set up to handle different types of rice. The building is an older one, but it does the job just fine. Kottayam is a great place for this kind of work because there is so much agriculture around us. We see a lot of farmers and transport guys coming through our gates. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning; we are usually out on the floor making sure the mill is running right. It’s a family-run feel even if we are an LLP. We’ve been here at Arpookara West for a long time. People in the village know us as the place to get their rice sorted. We aren't trying to be some huge industrial giant. We just want to provide a decent service to the local community. It’s hard, physical work and at the end of the day, we are usually pretty tired.
