J & G Toolings

Our place is located in Erumely, specifically out in the Pallikkara area. If you are coming through Kizhakkambalam, you have to follow the road toward Kumarapuram Po. It’s a bit of a drive, but it's where we have always been. J & G Toolings isn't a massive factory or anything. We have a modest building where we keep our equipment. Most mornings start with a cup of tea before we get to the machines. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by noon. We work on various tooling jobs that come our way. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we have several projects going at once, but we usually find what we need eventually. The humidity here in this part of the country can be tough on the metal, so we spend a lot of time cleaning and oiling things. It’s just me and a small crew of guys who have been doing this for years. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertising. Most people hear about us through word of mouth around Pallikkara. We just try to do honest work and stay busy. The road out here can be bumpy after the rains, but the trucks still manage to get through. It's a quiet area for the most part, away from the big city noise. We like it that way. We just focus on the job and keep the machines running until it's time to head home.
