Indan Virgin Spices is based right here in Kanjirapally. It’s a place where you can really smell what’s going on in the air most days. We spend a lot of time sorting through things and making sure everything is handled right. The humidity can be a bit of a challenge sometimes, but that is just how it is in this part of the world. We don't have a massive warehouse, just a decent-sized place where we get the work done. A lot of the people working here have been with us for years. We know each other's families and what’s happening in town. It isn't a corporate environment at all. More like a bunch of neighbors working toward the same goal. We deal with spices every day, so our clothes usually smell like them by the time we go home. It’s hard work, especially when the big bags arrive and need to be moved around. We don't use a lot of high-tech gadgets; we mostly rely on what we’ve learned over time. If you come by, you’ll probably find someone drinking coffee and looking over some paperwork. Kanjirapally is a good home for a business like ours. We fit in well with the local pace of life. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just take the spices, do the work, and get them where they need to go. It is a simple way to spend our days together.
