Horizon

Sachivothamapuram is a place where things move a bit slower than in the main city center, and that suits us just fine. Our building at Horizon isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but it’s where we’ve been based for quite a while now. Most mornings start with a bit of a struggle to get the front lock to turn properly—it’s been sticking for months and we haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. Inside, you'll mostly find a collection of mismatched chairs and a few sturdy tables where we do our work. There isn't a big marketing budget or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. We just show up, do what needs to be done, and head home when the sun starts to go down. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, which helps when we need to focus, though the neighbor’s dog likes to bark at every passing bicycle. A small kettle in the back is used for making tea, which is probably the most important piece of equipment in the whole place. It feels more like a home office that grew a bit too big for a house. No dress code exists here; we just wear whatever is comfortable for the weather. It’s a very basic operation, but it keeps us going and we know most of the people who live around here by name.
