Hidelberg Cement

Hidelberg Cement is located right in Kaipuzha, near Kottayam. It’s a pretty easy place to find if you’re in this part of Kerala. The pin code is 686 602, in case you are trying to mail us something. We spend a lot of time dealing with the heavy bags and making sure the trucks are loaded right. It’s dusty work, and you can usually see a layer of gray on the floor by the end of the day. We don't really have a fancy front office with a receptionist. Usually, whoever isn't busy with a delivery is the one who answers the phone. The area around here is nice, mostly quiet except for when the transport arrives. We’ve been at this spot for quite a bit now. People from the village often stop by to ask questions or just to see what’s going on. We keep a few chairs outside for when it gets too stuffy indoors. It’s a practical setup, nothing more than what we need to get the job done. The paperwork is kept in a couple of metal filing cabinets that have seen better days. We don't worry too much about the looks of the place as long as the cement is moving and the customers are satisfied. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoons, but we just wait it out or work by the light from the door. It’s just how things are run around here.
