You will find us out in Mallikassery, which is a small post office area near Pala in the Kottayam district. It’s a very different vibe from the big cities. Out here at Glenrock Rubber Products Pvt.Ltd., things are a bit more tied to the land and the weather. When it rains in Kerala, it really rains, and you can hear it drumming on the roof of our facility all day long. We are surrounded by a lot of greenery, which is one of the nice things about being located where we are. It’s not a fast-paced environment where everyone is rushing around with their phones. We have a steady way of doing things. The local people from around Pala make up most of our team, so there is a lot of talking in Malayalam and catching up on news from the nearby villages. Our address is simple because everyone around here knows where the rubber factory is. We don’t have a big corporate sign or anything like that. It’s just the office and the production area. Some days the smell of processed rubber is quite strong, but you get used to it after the first week. It’s a quiet life compared to Kochi or Trivandrum, but we like the pace. Most of us walk or ride bikes to work. It’s a straightforward operation here. People just come by the office when they need something and we sort it out for them.
