Geo Rubbers & Adhesives

We are out in the Mini Industrial Estate in Changanachery. It is a place with a lot of sheds and small factories. Our building is number 8. It smells like rubber and strong glue around here almost all the time. We have big drums of adhesives stacked up in the corners. Most of our days are spent loading and unloading these heavy things from the back of trucks. It gets very hot under the metal roof when the sun is out in the afternoon. We have a few big fans, but they just move the warm air around. We work with a lot of workshops in the Paippad area. They need the rubber for all kinds of industrial things. It is a messy job. Our hands often have bits of dried glue on them that take forever to wash off. We do not have a fancy showroom for people to look at. It is mostly just a warehouse with a small desk near the front door. We keep the paperwork in a metal filing cabinet that has seen better days. Delivery drivers come in all day long. We know most of them by their trucks. We talk about the traffic on the main road and how long it takes to get to the city. There is a small tea stall just outside the estate gates where we go for a short break. It is hard work, but it is what we do.
