Food Corner

If you are ever walking through Velloor Post in Pampady, you will probably see our place at number 690. Food Corner is not a big corporation or a fancy chain restaurant. It is just me and a few people from around the village who come in to help out with the daily tasks. We do all the cooking and preparation right here in our small kitchen. It stays busy from the time we open until late in the afternoon when things finally start to quiet down. Since we are right on the main path, we see a lot of people passing by on their way to the post office or just walking home. We don't have a massive menu with dozens of items. We just make whatever is fresh and whatever we feel like cooking that day. The building is simple with brick walls and a tin roof that makes a lot of noise when it rains. We get our ingredients from the local market because that is what is easy to find. There isn't really a boss here, we just all know what needs to be done and we get to work. Sometimes we run out of food earlier than we thought and we just have to close up for the day. Most of our regulars have become our friends over the years. It is a decent way to spend our time and earn a living here.
