Eye Hospital & Research Institute

We’ve been here in Kottayam for quite a while now. Most people around here know where the Eye Hospital & Research Institute is located. It's not a fancy place with lots of glass and chrome, just a solid building where we do our work every day. I started working here a few years back and it’s always busy. We get people coming in from all the nearby villages and towns. Sometimes the waiting room gets a bit crowded, especially on Monday mornings. You can see the research side of things happening too, though most folks are just here to get their eyes checked. We have a lot of old equipment that still works perfectly and some newer stuff too. The doctors are usually in a hurry but they take the time when it really matters. It’s a bit noisy with all the traffic outside but once you’re inside, it’s just the usual hospital smells and the sound of people talking. I handle a lot of the paperwork which can be a real headache sometimes. There’s always someone asking for directions or wondering how much longer the wait will be. We try to keep things moving. It’s just a regular part of the community here. We see the same faces coming back for checkups. It’s just what we do. Nothing too complicated about it. We’re just here on the main road, easy enough to find if you’re looking for us.
