Beunaventura Exim Private Limited is based out of Kumarakom, in building number 398 over in Ward 10. Kumarakom is a famous spot for visitors, but for us, it’s just the place where we handle our import and export work. We don’t have a flashy office with a view of the water or anything like that. It’s a pretty simple building where we keep our records and do the daily tasks of an exim business. A lot of people think trading sounds exciting, but mostly it is just checking invoices and making sure the customs details are correct. We’ve been operating this way for a while, and we don’t feel the need to act like a big corporate office. We are just local people who know the trade business. The humidity here can be a lot, and sometimes the pace of life in the village is slow, but we have to keep up with the faster pace of international trade. It’s a strange mix, honestly. We spend our mornings dealing with local stuff and our afternoons talking to people in completely different countries. We don't have a mission statement or any of that. We just want to make sure the goods move from point A to point B without getting stuck. That’s what a typical day looks like for us here in Kumarakom at building 398. It is regular work that keeps us on our toes and pays the bills.
