Avai Design

Avai Design is located in the Kandathil Building on Temple Road. We are pretty close to the West Gate, so it is a familiar spot for anyone living around this part of town. Even though the address says Allepey, we are firmly rooted here in the 686001 area of Kottayam. The office is usually filled with rolls of paper and different fabric swatches. We are a small team that just enjoys puting things together to make a space look better. It is not always glamorous work. A lot of it is just sitting at a desk and trying to figure out how to fit a large wardrobe into a tiny room. We get a lot of people walking in from Temple Road just to ask questions. We don't have a polished sales pitch. We just show them what we are working on and talk about what they might need. Sometimes the office gets a bit messy when we are in the middle of a big project. We might have samples scattered all over the floor for days. That is just how we work. We like being near the West Gate because it feels like a real community. We know the other shop owners nearby and often grab tea from the stall down the street. Our focus is just on the next project and making sure we don't make mistakes with the measurements. It's practical work that we happen to enjoy doing every day.
