Ar Mini Mart

Ar Mini Mart is located in the Perunna area of Changanacherry. It’s a small shop, but we try to keep a bit of everything on the shelves. You’ll find soap, biscuits, rice, and whatever else people around here need for their kitchens. I’m usually behind the counter from early morning until late at night. It’s a lot of standing around and talking to neighbors who come in for a single packet of milk or some matches. The aisles are a bit narrow because we try to fit as much as we can into the space we have. Sometimes the delivery trucks come and block the front for a bit, and we have to move boxes quickly. I don’t have a fancy computer system for everything, I just use a notebook and a calculator most of the time. It gets busy when the schools let out and the kids come in for snacks. Changanacherry is a busy place, and Perunna has a lot of people moving through it. I’ve lived here my whole life, so I know most of the faces that walk through the door. It’s not a big supermarket with bright lights, just a local store where you can get what you need without a fuss. We keep the fridge running for the cold drinks and try to keep the dust off the cans. It’s just me and sometimes my nephew helping out when it’s crowded and the line starts to get long.
