Abhilash Varghese

Abhilash Varghese is the name we use for the business, but really it is just us working out of Managalathu House. We are located in the Magalathu Thazhan area of Koothattukulam. It is a quiet place, surrounded by a bit of greenery, which is nice when the weather is hot. The house has been in the family for a long time, and we just use part of it to run things. It is not like a big city office with glass walls. We have a desk in the front room where we keep the books and handle the phone calls that come in throughout the day. People in Koothattukulam know where to find us if they need anything. Sometimes the front gate squeaks when you open it, and we keep meaning to oil it, but we always forget because we are so busy with the daily chores. We spend a lot of our time dealing with local matters and making sure our work gets done correctly. There is no big team here, just a few of us making sure everything stays on track. We grew up here and we know the land and the people well. It is a humble way to earn a living, and we do not try to make it sound like more than it is. Most evenings are spent finishing up the paperwork by the light of a small lamp. It is steady work and it keeps us occupied from morning until night.
