We have been here at the Railway Junction in Kollam for quite some time now. If you are looking for us, we are right across from the Bank of India ATM. It gets pretty loud here with the trains passing by all day, but you get used to it after a few years. Most days we are just busy moving bags around and keeping the yard organized. It is not a fancy place by any means. There is usually some dust on the counter and the floor needs a good sweep often because of the materials we handle. We keep a variety of things people need for their construction work. It is mostly local contractors and some neighbors who come in to pick up supplies. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Just a simple shop where we sit and talk to whoever walks in. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially when it rains hard near the tracks and we have to cover everything up quickly. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the orders get loaded correctly onto the trucks. Most of our regulars know us by name, and we know them too. It is just the way we have always done things here. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork if we can help it. It is more about the physical work and getting things where they need to go in Kollam.
