King Soda

Our shop is at 102, Manjathy Road in Aryankavu. It’s a quiet area compared to the big cities. We are surrounded by a bit of greenery, which is nice when the sun is out. The building is small, just enough room for the carbonation tank and a few rows of crates. We don't have many employees, just a few local people from the neighborhood. King Soda has been around for some time, and we just keep doing what we’ve always done. The road outside isn't very wide, so we have to be quick when the supply truck comes so we don't block the way. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass bottles by hand to make sure they are ready for the next batch. There is a small bench outside where customers can sit for a minute. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. Most of our business comes from the small tea shops nearby. Aryankavu is a place where everyone knows everyone, so news travels by word of mouth instead of advertisements. We just focus on the daily grind, making sure the gas is right and the bottles are full. It is a humble way to make a living, but we are satisfied with it. The Manjathy Road spot is where we will stay for a long time yet.
