Alavudeen Stones

Our business is at 27/1 on the Paripally Madathara Road in Kadakkal. It’s a busy road, so there’s always a lot of noise from the cars and trucks passing by. We deal with various stones and we have them laid out in the yard for everyone to see. It’s not a polished environment. There’s a lot of dirt and gravel on the ground and the air is often a bit dusty. We spend most of our time outside, no matter what the weather is like. If it’s hot, we just drink more water and keep moving. We don't have a big office or a fancy waiting room. If you come by, you’ll probably find us near the back moving slabs or talking to a driver. We use our hands a lot and they are usually covered in stone dust by the afternoon. We don't have a big mission statement or any corporate slogans. We just sell stone to people who need it for their projects. It’s a simple way to make a living. The equipment we use is old but it still works fine. We have to be careful with the heavy pieces so nobody gets hurt. It’s a lot of physical labor and we are usually pretty tired by the time we close up. We just keep doing the same thing every day, making sure the yard stays in order and the customers get what they came for.
