Dominic Kulfi N Ice Cream

Over at H. No 7-8-50/8A in New Gollagudem, we run Dominic Kulfi N Ice Cream. It’s a family-run operation that keeps us pretty busy, especially when the heat starts to pick up. The house belongs to Reddy Vinesh Babu, who is the son of R. Odelu, and we’ve turned part of it into our workspace. Making kulfi isn't a clean job. There’s a lot of milk boiling and sugar mixing involved, and by the end of the day, everything feels a little sticky. We don’t have a massive factory; it’s just us using traditional methods to get the flavor right. The freezers are always humming in the background, which is a sound we’ve gotten used to over the years. New Gollagudem is a nice neighborhood, and we get a lot of locals walking by to see what’s fresh. We don't spend money on commercials or big advertisements. People just know we are here because of the smell of the sweets or through word of mouth. Sometimes we run out of a certain flavor before the day is over, but that’s just how it goes with small batches. It’s a simple business focused on making something people enjoy eating on a hot afternoon. We just show up every day and do our part to keep the local sweet tooth satisfied. It is a messy but rewarding way to spend our time.
