You can find Gangakshi Ayur Pharmaceuticals over at C- 40 Sidcul. Sidcul is a big industrial zone, so it’s all business around here. We make Ayurvedic medicines. It’s a lot of traditional recipes turned into pills and powders. The facility isn't very pretty, but it’s functional. We have stainless steel vats and grinding machines that run most of the day. The workers here are mostly locals from the nearby villages. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. The smell of the herbs is very distinct. Sometimes it’s sweet, sometimes it’s really bitter. We don't use a lot of fancy marketing talk here. We just follow the steps to make the medicine. My desk is right near the loading dock, so I see all the raw materials coming in. It’s a lot of sacks of dried bark and seeds. We have to be careful with the measurements. It’s a bit like a giant kitchen but for medicine. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll just see people in hairnets working the machines. It’s a practical environment. We focus on getting the orders filled. It’s just a regular pharmaceutical unit trying to do a good job. We keep to ourselves and focus on the production line at C- 40. It's busy but we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and work.
