Amit Graphics

Amit Graphics is on Gokhley Marg, not far from Jhanda Chowk. It’s a central part of town. We’ve been here for years doing all kinds of design and printing work. The shop is usually full of paper scraps and samples from old jobs. We don't clean up as much as we should. It's a busy place. People come in with ideas written on scraps of paper. We try to turn those into something they can use. We have a couple of printers that run most of the day. They make a lot of noise. We’re used to it by now. We don't use fancy jargon when we talk to customers. We just show them what’s possible. Sometimes a job takes longer than expected. We just tell the customer the truth. People around Jhanda Chowk seem to appreciate that. We aren't some big agency with a hundred employees. It’s just a small team of us. We know our machines well. When one breaks, we usually know how to kick it back to life. It’s not a glamorous job but it keeps us busy. We like seeing our work on posters around the neighborhood. It makes us feel like we’re contributing something. We’ll probably be here for a long time. It’s a good spot for us and we like the people around here.
