World Of Stones

My dad started this small shop years ago at 233 in the shopping center. We handle all kinds of rocks and slabs here. People mostly come by to look at marble or granite for their counters. It gets dusty inside because we cut pieces right in the back. The shopping center is usually busy, so parking can be a bit of a pain sometimes. We aren't a big corporation or anything like that. It is just me and two other guys working the floor most days. If you walk in, you'll see stacks of tiles leaning against the walls. We try to keep things organized but stone is heavy and awkward to move around. Sometimes the delivery truck is late because traffic near the center is a nightmare in the afternoons. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights and coffee. It's just a warehouse-style space where you can see the actual materials. We have some local contractors who come in every week for their projects. They know where we are. It’s a simple setup. We spend most of our time measuring stuff or loading crates onto small pickups. If the phone rings and nobody picks up, we are probably out back moving a heavy slab with the hoist. That's just how it goes here. We've been at this address for a long time now. Most people around here know World Of Stones just by walking past the front window on their way to the other shops.
