We’ve been here in Talwandi for a good while now. It gets pretty loud outside when the students are changing classes, but that’s just how it is. We spend most of our time at the desks or by the boards, trying to make sense of the syllabus for everyone. Some days the fans don't quite keep up with the heat, but we keep the water cooler filled. People around here know where to find us. It’s not a fancy setup, just some rooms with enough chairs and light to get through the lessons. Usually, we're here until late evening because there’s always someone who needs a bit more help with a math problem or some notes they missed. The floor gets dusty from all the feet coming in, so we sweep a lot. My brother sometimes helps out with the paperwork when it piles up on the corner table. We started out with just a few benches and now we have more, but it’s still the same basic place. It’s funny how you get used to the sound of the traffic while you’re explaining something. We don't do anything too complicated besides showing up and doing the work we set out to do each morning. Talwandi is a busy spot for this kind of thing, so we just fit right in with the rest of the neighborhood.
