Vishal Kirana & General Store

Our shop is out in Gram Naya Nohra, right on Baran Road in the Kota district. Being a bit further out from the main Kota city area, we serve a lot of the local villagers and people living in the newer developments around here. It’s a kirana and general store, so we keep a little bit of everything. We have the big sacks of grain and flour, plus all the smaller things like spices, matches, and sweets for the kids. The shop is a bit dusty because of the road, but that’s just how it is here. We aren't trying to look like those big city malls. We just have simple wooden shelves and a counter where we weigh things out. A lot of our customers have been coming to us since we first opened. They know they can find the basics here without having to travel all the way into the city. We try to keep our prices fair because we know everyone around here. Sometimes we sit outside on the bench when it’s slow and talk to whoever is passing by. It’s a relaxed kind of place. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people knowing where we are. It’s just a small shop run by local people for local people. If you need your monthly rations or just a cold drink, we’re here on the main road.
