Vimal Fancy Store

Being at 202 Indira Market means there is always noise from the street. The market is always crowded, especially on weekends when everyone comes out to shop. I open up early, usually before the heat gets too bad. My shop is packed with all sorts of things, from plastic toys to colorful hairbands. I try to keep it organized, but with so many small items, things always end up in the wrong boxes. The floor is a bit uneven, so the display cases sometimes wobble if you lean on them. I spend a lot of time just rearranging the shelves so everything fits. It is a small space, but we make it work. I know most of the other shopkeepers around here, and we often share tea in the afternoons. Sometimes a stray dog comes and sits in the shade near the door. The light inside isn't very bright, so I have to keep the big bulb on even during the day. People come in looking for small bits and pieces for their homes or for a party. I don't have a computer or anything fancy, just a notebook where I scribble down what I sell. It’s a bit old-fashioned, I guess, but it works for me and the people who live around Indira Market. Most of the time, I am just sitting on my chair, watching the people go by and waiting for the next person to walk through the door.
