Veer Auto Service Center

Our garage is over on Udyog Marg, not far from Indra Gandhi Nagar near the DCM road. It’s a busy area with a lot of trucks and bikes passing through all the time. We start early in the morning, pulling the bikes inside and getting the oil changes started. There is always a smell of petrol and old grease in the air, which is something you just get used to after a week of working here. We have a few benches and a lot of wrenches hanging on the walls. It’s not a quiet place because there is always someone revving an engine or hammering something back into shape. We don't have any big corporate signs or fancy uniforms, just our work clothes that get stained pretty quickly. People from the DCM area know us and they just drop their vehicles off on their way to work and pick them up later. We spend a lot of time explaining what’s wrong with a carburetor or why the brakes are making that squealing noise. It’s honest work and it keeps us tired by the end of the shift. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoon, so we try to do the heaviest lifting in the morning hours. We just focus on getting the engines running right so people can get back on the road. It is just the way we have always done things here on the margin.
