Vaibhav Laxmi General Store

I have been running Vaibhav Laxmi General Store for a while now here in Basant Vihar. It is a quiet enough spot in Kota most days, except when the sun is really beating down and everyone wants a cold drink at the same time. The shop at 884 is where I spend most of my hours, usually from early morning when the milk crates arrive until we pull the shutters down late. It’s not a big fancy place, just shelves filled with what people actually need like pulses, soap, and snacks for the kids coming home from school. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit messy when we get a big delivery, but I find my way through it eventually. People around here know where to find us. We get all sorts of folks stopping by, some just to chat for a minute while they pick up their tea leaves or salt. I try to keep things organized but sometimes a box stays in the corner longer than it should. That’s just how it goes when you’re busy handling everything yourself. Kota stays busy with all the students and families, and being here in Basant Vihar feels like being part of a small community. I don't really have a grand plan for the store, I just want to make sure the biscuits are fresh and the change is right. It’s a simple life behind the counter.
