Over in Kota, at 3-C-8 Mahaveernagar-III, is where we have our office set up. Transport Corporation Of India Ltd. has been operating from this spot for a bit. Kota is really famous for all its coaching students, but we’re more focused on the trucks and the heavy cargo side of things. Rajasthan gets incredibly hot during the summer, so we spend a lot of our time just trying to stay cool inside the office building. It’s a simple brick building, nothing really special about how it looks. We have a lot of local maps and delivery schedules pinned up on the walls to keep track of things. It’s quite noisy because of the main road nearby, but you get used to the sound after a week or two. We handle the transport side of business, which is basically just making sure stuff moves from point A to point B without too much trouble. Sometimes the drivers call us up with problems on the road, and we have to figure out a solution. It’s a lot of problem-solving on the fly. We aren’t really into big corporate talk or fancy meetings. We just like to get the goods moved. The staff here is mostly local folks who have lived in Kota their whole lives. We don’t have a fancy website. Most people find us because they know where we are located or saw the sign. It’s a practical business.
