Swalka Stone Trading Co. is located in Kunadi. It’s a bit away from the main city center, which gives us more space for our stone yard. We deal with various types of natural stones that come in from the nearby quarries. The yard is mostly an open space where we keep big piles of rough and cut stone. It’s a rugged environment, and you definitely need sturdy boots to walk around here. We spend our time grading the stones and making sure they are sorted correctly. There’s a small shed where we keep our tools and a basic desk for keeping records. It’s usually just the sound of the wind and the occasional truck engine around here. We don't get many random walk-ins; most people who come to Kunadi are looking specifically for stone supplies. The work is heavy and depends a lot on the weather. If it rains, the yard gets quite muddy, and we have to be careful moving the stock. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for a long time. We start our day when the sun comes up and usually wrap up before it gets too dark. There isn't any fancy signage or marketing here. We just have the stone and the space to trade it. It’s a quiet, straightforward business, and we like the pace of it out here in Kunadi. Most of the stones are quite heavy, so loading them takes a lot of time and patience. We just stay busy with our daily work.
