Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd

Our setup is a bit different because we are located right on the highway. We are at Km-436 of the NH-76, on the road between Kota and Baran. The office is in a village called Chisa, near Gadepan. It’s a dusty spot because of all the trucks roaring past on the national highway. Being out here in the Kota district means we are close to the actual work. We don’t have a fancy city address. Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd is basically a site office that stayed put. The wind blows a lot of sand in during the summer months. We have a small team here, mostly local folks from the village and some guys from Kota city who commute in every morning. It’s a long drive for them, but we make it work. We have a basic kitchen where we cook lunch together most days. It’s cheaper and better than the roadside dhabas nearby. Our walls are covered in project schedules and old calendars. There’s no air conditioning, just a couple of loud ceiling fans that do their best. We focus on the roads and the structures nearby. It’s hard, physical work and the hours are often quite long. We don’t have time for anything fancy. We just stay here, watch the trucks go by, and keep building what needs to be built.
