Styam Marble

We are located at Shop No-3 on the 80 Fit Road in Borkhera. The shop is quite close to Jai Ambe Nagar, which is a well-known landmark around here. Styam Marble has been our workplace for a few years now. The road outside is wide, which is lucky for us because it makes it much easier for the big trucks to bring in the marble slabs without causing a traffic jam. Our shop is filled with marble of all kinds. We have stacks leaning against every wall. It is a lot of heavy lifting, and we usually have to help each other move the larger pieces so they don't crack. The air is always a bit white from the marble dust, no matter how much we sweep. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. People just come in, walk around the stacks, and pick what they like. We get a lot of local people from the nearby colonies who are building houses. We sit on plastic chairs and talk to them about what they need. It’s a very informal way of doing business. We have a small stove in the back to make tea, and we usually offer a cup to anyone who stops by for a while. The 80 Fit Road is a busy place, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home. We just stay here and manage the stone. It’s a simple, honest business without any big mystery.
