You can find us at 88-B in Pratap Nagar, which is over in the Dadabari area. Stone India Inc. is mostly a yard full of heavy slabs and blocks. It’s a dusty place to work, especially when the wind picks up around here. We deal with all kinds of stone that come in on big trucks, and then we have to move them around with the crane or by hand if they’re small enough. The sun can get really hot out in the yard during the afternoons, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early in the morning. Our office is just a small room off to the side where we keep the paperwork and a couple of chairs for when customers come to pick out their materials. It’s not decorated or anything, just some samples of granite and marble leaning against the desk. We’ve been here in Dadabari for a while, so we know the local builders and contractors who stop by to see what we have in stock. There is always a layer of stone dust on everything, including our shoes and the truck tyres. Dealing with stone is heavy, slow work, and you have to be careful not to chip anything. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and loading. It’s a basic business, and we don't try to make it seem like something it isn't. Just a lot of rock and the people who know how to handle it.
