Spare King

Spare King is located right on the Main Road in Jawahar Nagar, at C-16. Being in the Kota H O area with the 324001 zip code means it gets quite a bit of foot traffic and vehicles passing by all day long. The shop is filled with shelves from the floor to the ceiling. We have all sorts of parts and components shoved into boxes and stacked up in the back. It’s a bit of a mess if you don’t know what you are looking for, but we usually have a good idea of where everything is buried. The front counter is where we spend most of our day, talking to people who come in with broken things or lists of parts they need. It’s a noisy spot because of the main road right outside, so we often have to speak up to be heard over the trucks and motorcycles. The floor is concrete and has some oil stains here and there, which is expected for a place like this. We don’t have air conditioning, just a big pedestal fan that we move around depending on where we are standing. The light inside is a bit dim because the shelves block the windows, but it stays cool enough. We’ve been at C-16 for a good while now, and most of the locals in Jawahar Nagar know to look for us when they need a specific spare part. It’s a practical business, nothing fancy.
