We run Sohan Clinic right at the Hanuman Circle in Chhipabarod. It's located in the Baran district of Rajasthan. The circle is usually very busy with people, cattle, and vehicles, so there is always something interesting to see out the front door. Our clinic is a small, modest place where people come when they are feeling under the weather or just need a checkup. We have a small wooden desk and a few chairs for people to sit in while they wait. It’s mostly just basic medical help and first aid here. People come in from all the surrounding villages because it's a central spot. The walls are painted a simple off-white and we have some old calendars and charts hanging up. Chhipabarod is a small place, so word travels fast among the neighbors. We don't do any marketing or advertising; people just know we are here at Hanuman Circle. Sometimes the dust from the road comes in when it's windy, so we have to sweep the floor quite often. It’s a very humble setup. I spend my days listening to people's coughs, checking their temperatures, and writing out notes. We keep a stock of the usual medicines on the wooden shelves right behind the counter. It's a very routine and simple life. The clinic stays open until late in the evening most days. It’s just a regular part of the daily life here in this corner of Rajasthan.
