Sohal Engineering Works

You can find our workshop over at E 36 on Ipia Road No 2. This is a heavy industrial area, so the air always has that distinct smell of oil and cut metal. At Sohal Engineering Works, we spend our days mostly bent over machines or looking at hand-drawn sketches. It is a very hands-on kind of place. We started out years ago with just a couple of old lathes and a lot of hard work. Now, the workshop is pretty much full of different equipment, and it gets quite hot inside during the summer months. We don't have a front desk or any receptionist to greet you. If you decide to come by, you will probably find us in the back with our sleeves rolled up and grease on our arms. We take on all sorts of repair jobs and custom metal work for local businesses. Some days are a bit slow, and we just spend the time cleaning the tools, but other days we are working late into the night to finish a project for a client. It is noisy because of the grinders and the welding machines, so we usually have to shout to be heard over the din. We aren't big on formalities here. If someone needs something fixed, they just bring it through the door and we take a look at it together. Our floor is stained with oil, but that is just part of the job.
