Sisodiya Kirana Store

Sisodiya Kirana Store is found at the Masjid Circle in Ramganj Mandi, over in the Khatal Khadi area. It’s a traditional grocery shop where we stock things like sugar, salt, various dals, and cooking oils. The shop is often filled with the earthy scent of grains and spices. We spend our time filling up bags for the local families who come in for their weekly supplies. It’s a small space, so we have sacks of rice and wheat lined up on the floor. The walls are covered in shelves that go all the way up, filled with all sorts of small packets. Being near the Masjid Circle means there are always people moving about, especially during prayer times. It’s a lively part of the town with a lot of character. We don't have any modern checkout counters or fancy displays. Everything is done the old-fashioned way with a simple scale and a notebook for our sales. The light inside isn't very bright, which actually keeps the place a bit cooler during the hot afternoons. We've known many of our customers since they were kids. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy bags and staying on our feet most of the day. We just focus on keeping the shelves stocked with the things people in Khatal Khadi need for their kitchens every day.
