Shubham Sweets & Namkeens

We are Shubham Sweets & Namkeens, located in the Nayapura area. Our shop isn't hard to find if you’re looking for something to snack on. We have been here for a good while now. Every day starts the same way, lighting the burners and getting the big pots of oil hot. Mixtures and snacks are made right here in the back room. It’s a small space, so it gets quite warm once the frying starts. Samosas sell well in the afternoons. People stop by on their way home from work. Sometimes the chutney runs out, which makes people a bit grumpy, but more is made as fast as we can. The shelves are packed with containers of different sweets. Keeping them organized is a struggle, and in the rush, things get moved around. Only a few of us work here. No uniforms are used; we just wear what’s comfortable for the heat. Dealing with customers is the best part, even the ones who haggle over a few rupees. It keeps things interesting. Being the biggest shop in Nayapura isn't the goal. We just want to keep doing what we do. It’s a living, and everyone is happy with it. Most days are good days, and the noise of the street outside is just part of the job.
