Shri Satguru Balaji Stone Suppliers is located in the Rangbadi Kota Industrial Area. We are specifically at B.No. Kalyan Dhas, S.No.5/55. If you know the area, we are quite near the New Mukti Dham. It’s a busy industrial zone with a lot of other stone yards around. The sound of saws cutting through rock is pretty much constant here. We spend our mornings unloading trucks that come in from the quarries. Kota stone is heavy, so it takes a lot of effort to get everything stacked right. The ground in the yard is always covered in slurry and stone chips. We wear our boots and just get on with it. It's not a place for fancy clothes. We have a small office where we keep the books, but mostly we are outside on the lot. Sometimes the dust gets so thick you can't see the other side of the yard. We just grab a tea from the stall nearby and wait for it to settle. It’s a practical business for practical people. We don't use big words to describe the stone; it’s just good, solid material for building. The industrial area is where we belong, surrounded by other people doing the same kind of work. We’ve been here at Kalyan Dhas for a good while, just supplying stone and keeping the business going one day at a time. It’s hard work but it's okay.
