You can find us over on Vyayamshala Road in Keshavpura. We’re at Shop No 33, right near the Vyayamshala itself, which is where everyone goes to get their exercise. Kota can get really hot, so people often duck in here just to get out of the sun for a minute while they buy what they need. It’s a small space, but we try to keep it organized enough so you can see what’s what. We get a lot of students coming through since this is Kota, and they’re usually looking for quick things like biscuits or maybe a pen. The road outside gets pretty dusty when the wind picks up. We open early in the morning because that’s when the milk comes and everyone is rushing to get their day started. It’s just a basic provision store, nothing too special. We spend a lot of time counting stock and making sure the jars are full. Sometimes we run out of things if the wholesaler is slow, but that’s just how it goes. The regulars know the layout of the place as well as we do. It’s quiet in the mid-afternoon when most people are staying indoors. We’ve been here in this spot for a good bit of time now, watching the street get busier every year. Just doing our thing day after day. We aren't trying to be fancy, just keeping the shelves filled with the stuff folks around Keshavpura need for their homes. It is what we do.
