Shri Charak Clinic

If you head down toward Ganesh Talab in Basant Vihar, you’ll find us at Shri Charak Clinic. We’re at No. 1/256, which is easy to miss if you aren’t looking for the sign. It’s a busy little corner of Basant Vihar, and the clinic usually reflects that energy. We’ve got a small space here, so it gets crowded pretty quickly when more than three or four people are waiting. We’ve been at this spot for a while, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy seeing patients to worry about the decor. The floors are tile and easy to mop, which is good because people bring in a lot of dust from the street. We don’t have a lot of fancy technology, just the basic tools we need to check people over and tell them what’s wrong. It’s the kind of place where the doctor knows your name and probably remembers your parents too. We keep our records in big paper files because that’s how we’ve always done it and it works fine for us. Sometimes the traffic outside near the talab gets loud, but you get used to the honking after a few hours. We aren’t trying to be the biggest clinic in the city, just a reliable one for the people living right here in Basant Vihar. It’s practical work, mostly dealing with coughs, fevers, and the usual stuff that goes around.
