Shri Bankhandi General Store

If you go down to Ramganj Mandi and head toward the Chechat side, you will find Shri Bankhandi General Store. It is a basic shop that caters to the local people living around here, and we carry a mix of household items that people use every day. We have things like buckets, cleaning supplies, and some dry groceries packed into the shelves. The building is a bit old, and we have to move some of the displays inside if the wind picks up too much dust from the road. It is the kind of place where people stop by on their way home to grab a last-minute item they forgot to buy in the bigger town. We don't really have a set schedule for when new things arrive, we just call the suppliers when the shelves start looking a bit bare. Sometimes the kids from the nearby school come in after classes to spend a few coins on snacks, and that is usually the liveliest part of the afternoon. We have some old wooden benches nearby where people sometimes sit and talk for a bit before moving on. It is a simple business, and we don't try to compete with the big supermarkets in the city. We just keep the doors open and make sure we have the things our neighbors depend on. It is mostly just one or two of us working here, so it stays pretty personal and relaxed most of the time.
