Shree Ganesh Reanimate & General Store

I usually get here around seven in the morning to open up the shutters. It’s always a bit quiet on Vidhya Peeth Main Road at that hour before the students start moving about. Sultanpur can get quite dusty, so the first thing I do is wipe down the glass jars and the counter. We’ve got most of the regular stuff people look for, like pencils, notebooks, and those little packets of snacks that kids like. The name says Reanimate and General Store, which sounds a bit fancy, but it’s just a small place for the locals. My father started this and now I just keep it going. The ceiling fan has a bit of a wobble to it, but it works fine enough for the Kota heat. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road for a bit, and people honk their horns like crazy. It’s a busy spot near the school. I spend most of my day sitting on this wooden stool, watching the world go by through the front door. We keep some basic medicines too, just the stuff for a headache or a cold that people might need in a hurry. Most of the people who come in are my neighbors, so we talk about the weather or the local news while I bag their items. It’s not a big supermarket, just a corner shop where you can find what you need without much fuss.
