Shree Dholpur Gajak

Our place, Shree Dholpur Gajak, is located in Mahaveer Nagar 3rd, specifically at 8-A-6. This is a residential area, so we get a lot of families and students who live nearby. Making gajak is a traditional thing for us, and we take it seriously. It involves a lot of crushing and mixing, which can be tiring, but it is what we know how to do. The shop is a simple space where we keep our stock and serve the people who walk in. During the colder months, we are much busier because that is when everyone wants gajak. But even when it is warm, we are still here doing something or the other. We don't have any polished marketing or big promises to make. We just make the gajak the way we were taught. The sounds of the neighborhood are mostly quiet compared to the main roads, which we like. We know many of the people who live in the surrounding houses. They come by for a bit of a chat and to see what is fresh. We don't use any complicated machinery, mostly just our hands and some basic tools. It is an honest way to make a living. We hope to keep serving the people of Mahaveer Nagar for many more years from this same little spot. We just keep our heads down and focus on making sure the texture of the gajak is just right.
