Shree Agrasen General Store

The shop is right here on Station Road, and it gets pretty loud with all the traffic going by all day. We spend a lot of time just moving boxes around and making sure everything is where it should be on the shelves. It’s not a very fancy place, just a regular shop where people stop in when they’re heading to the station or coming back home. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, so we’re always wiping down the glass counters. My hands usually have some ink or tape on them from opening new stock. It’s just me and a couple of others here most days. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for the afternoon rush to start. The ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking noise that you get used to after an hour. People come in looking for all sorts of small things, and we usually have what they need buried somewhere in the back. It’s a bit cramped when more than three people stand near the door, but we manage. Most of the neighbors know us by name now since we’ve been at this spot for a while. We don't really do anything special, just show up, open the shutters, and see who comes by. By the time evening rolls around, the streetlights come on and we start thinking about closing up. It’s a basic life here on this street, but it keeps us busy enough.
