Shivam General Store

Indira Market 1 is where you will find us. Shivam General Store has been around this part of the market for quite some time now. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when everyone is out trying to get their daily things. We keep the shelves stocked with the usual stuff like soap, flour, pulses, and snacks for the kids who come in after school. It isn't a very big store, so things can get a bit crowded when more than three or four people are inside at once. Usually, someone is asking for a specific brand of tea or looking for a lightbulb that actually fits their socket. We spend a lot of our time moving boxes around and trying to keep the place organized, though it never stays that way for long. The floor needs sweeping every few hours because of the dirt people track in from the street. It’s just a regular neighborhood shop where you know most of the faces that walk through the door. Some people come in just to chat for a minute while they buy their milk. We don’t have any fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just rows of items that people need for their houses. When the delivery trucks come, we have to hurry to get everything inside so we don’t block the narrow path in the market. That’s pretty much how our days go here.
